
Meghan Ercolano, MSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Connecticut and a Certified Provisional Educator by the Connecticut State Department of Education, as a School Social Worker. Meghan utilizes a variety of specialized treatment approaches and techniques with the goal of increasing clients' insight into their struggles and facilitating the development of new skills to improve current functioning and increase overall satisfaction and well-being.
Meghan received her Master's of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University's Graduate School of Social Service and her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Manhattan College. She is a member National Education Association (NEA), the Connecticut Education Association (CEA), and is a member of The National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Throughout the completion of her Master's degree, Meghan worked at both private non-profit mental health agencies and public agencies, hospitals, and schools to gain the necessary knowledge and skills for private practice.
Throughout Meghan's many years of experience, she has worked in various settings helping children, adolescents, and adults cope with depression, anxiety, loss, life transitions, relationship conflicts, learning disabilities, executive functioning struggles, and/or behavioral issues. She has clinical experience and expertise in treatment of child, adolescent, and adult trauma, Trauma- and Stressor-Related Disorders, Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Emotional Disturbance, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mood Disorders, Depression, and Anxiety Disorders. Meghan specializes in the utilization of a breadth of psycho-therapeutic techniques that are designed to effectively help those struggling with a wide range of difficulties. With extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with a focus on facilitating the process of improving personal functioning and alleviating subjective distress.
Meghan offers a warm and supportive environment in which those from all cultures and backgrounds are welcome. You will be provided with the space to be heard, receive support, gain clarity, and develop healthy coping strategies to successfully manage difficult life situations. Meghan has many years of experience treating children and adolescents with a wide range of difficulties in the areas of emotional, behavioral, social and academic functioning. Her treatment involves concerns around and diagnosis of ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, school avoidance issues, behavioral dyscontrol, oppositional behavior, mood instability, relationship/friendship struggles, social impairments, etc.
In Meghan's free time she enjoys being outdoors, running, skiing, swimming, yoga, cooking and gardening.
